Controlling the A/V System
Turning the system on and off
The AV system will power on when a user taps or activates the IR sensors on the control panel of the Teams Room Device. This will turn on the projector and "wake up" the Teams Room Device.
To turn the AV system off, simply leave the room. After 3 minutes of inactivity, the Teams Room Device will "go to sleep" and this will turn the projector off.
Meet
To create a meeting in this room, tap the "Meet" option. In the search bar, search for the exception account you would like to add to the meeting and tap their result to send an invite. This will dial the user into the meeting. To schedule a meeting with this device, create a Teams meeting and forward the invite to the rooms corresponding exception account.
Laptop Selection
To utilize the use of a local device such as a laptop, simply plug the laptop into the HDMI cable on the table. The Teams Room Device should recognize a source has been plugged into the HDMI cable and automatically change sources. If this is not the case select "Share" button (located to the left of the hang up option while in a meeting). This will switch the audio and video output to the laptop connected to the HDMI cable.
Volume Control
Volume can be controlled using the volume buttons on the bottom of the touch panel. The raise and lower buttons are on the left and right side of the speaker icon at the bottom of the control panel. To mute volume, press the speaker icon. To mute the in-room microphone, tap the microphone icon.
Inputs
Using a Laptop
There are inputs in the center of the table that allow the use of a laptop through HDMI and VGA inputs.
NOTE: Academic Support does not provide cables for ACAD spaces.
