Crestron Panel Audio

Audio on the Crestron panel is controlled using the volume adjustment arrows and the feedback bar indicates the current volume level.  The source for the audio is selected using one of the input buttons.  The audio will only be routed if the desired input is illuminated and the system is powered on.  The currently selected source will also be displayed by the projector.

Troubleshooting Audio

If you are experiencing audio issues in a Standard Crestron Room, please use the following steps to resolve your issue.  Once the audio is working, you may stop troubleshooting and do not need to complete every step.

  1. Make sure the Crestron system is on.  The system will turn on after pressing the "Press to begin…" button on the touch panel.
  2. Select the desired input for the audio source.  The selected input will be indicated on the touch panel.
    1. If the audio source (PC, laptop, Blu-ray player) is not also displayed on the projector, the system is routing a different source.
  3. Use the volume adjustment arrows to increase the volume level above 70% on the feedback bar.  The volume should be clearly audible at this level.
  4. Next check the volume levels on the source.  If you are using the podium computer or a personal device, make sure the system audio is not muted and turned all the way up.  If you are using a media player,  such as YouTube, make sure the volume level on the player is turned up all the way as well.
  5. If there is still no audio coming from the speakers, there a few more steps to take to resolve the issue:
    1. Check to see if the correct audio output is selected.
      1. If you are using a Windows computer:
        1. Right-click the sound icon  in the taskbar and select Open Sound settings.
        2. Select the device you want to use in the list of sound output devices.
      2. If you are using an Apple computer:
        1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Sound, then click Output.

        2. Select the device you want to use in the list of sound output devices.

    2. Check the audio cable connections at the source device.  For a laptop, make sure the HDMI or Auxiliary audio cable is securely attached to the device.  For the podium PC, check that the audio and video cables are securely connected.
  6. If there is audio present but the sound is muffled or quiet, make sure the volume is turned all the way up on the audio player, the source device, and the Crestron panel, in that order.
