Troubleshooting Video

If you are experiencing video issues in a Standard Conference Room, please use the following steps to resolve your issue.  Once the video is working, you may stop troubleshooting and do not need to complete every step.

  1. Make sure the Crestron system is on.  The system will turn on after selecting a source.
  2. Select the desired input for the video source.  The selected input will be indicated on the touch panel.
    1. If using network projection, make sure that you are connecting to the IP address displayed on screen using the Epson Network Projection Utility.
  3. If there is still no video displayed on the projector, there a few more steps to take to resolve the issue:
    1. Check to see if the correct video output is selected.  If you are using a Windows computer, press the Windows and P keys on your keyboard and select Duplicate.  If you are using an Apple computer, press the Command and F1 keys on your keyboard to duplicate.
    2. Check the video cable connections at the source device.  For a laptop, make sure the HDMI or VGA cable is securely attached to the device.  Try unplugging and reconnecting the video cable.
    3. Some laptops and tablets need to be plugged into power in order to send a video signal to the projector.
  4. If you are still experiencing video issues, please contact an Academic Support Technician at 255-HELP (x4357).
