Troubleshooting Video
If you are experiencing video issues in a Standard Crestron Room, please use the following steps to resolve your issue. Once the video is working, you may stop troubleshooting and do not need to complete every step.
- Make sure the Crestron system is on. The system will turn on after pressing the "Press to begin…" button on the touch panel.
- Select the desired input for the video source. The selected input will be indicated on the touch panel.
- If the video source (PC, laptop, Blu-ray player) is not also displayed on the projector, the system is routing a different source.
- Make sure the projector A/V MUTE or FREEZE is not on. These settings can be toggled on the touch panel.
- If there is still no video displayed on the projector, there a few more steps to take to resolve the issue:
- Check to see if the correct video output is selected.
- If you are using a Windows computer:
- Press the Windows ( ) and P keys at the same time. The Project menu will appear on the right side of your screen.
- Using the arrow keys or mouse, select the Duplicate option.
- Click Duplicate or press Enter when selected.
- If you are using an Apple computer,
- Make sure that your external display is powered on and connected to your Mac.
- Choose Apple ( ) menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then select the Arrangement tab.
- Make sure that the Mirror Displays checkbox is selected.
- If you are using a Windows computer:
- Check the video cable connections at the source device. For a laptop, make sure the HDMI or VGA cable is securely attached to the device. For the podium PC, check that the video cable is securely connected. Try unplugging and reconnecting the video cable.
- Some laptops and tablets need to be plugged into power in order to send a video signal to the projector.
