About AGI STK
Analytical Graphics STK is an engineering software specific for aerospace students.
The STK software needs to connect to the license server on campus to function. If you would like to use this software off campus please connect to the UCCS VPN.
Automated Silent Install
Note: Using the automated script installer will install the entire STK suite including all modules (approx. 3.5GB) and pre-configure the license server settings. If you prefer to customize your installation, please refer to the next section "Custom Install."
Step 1: Download Installer
The STK v12.5 installation folder is located at \\eas-data.uccs.edu\Public\Software\ALL\AnalyticalGraphicsSTK. This location can opened while connected to the UCCS VPN.
Use the Windows File Explorer and navigate to the network location mentioned above. Copy the entire STK_v12.5.0 folder to a location on your local PC.
Step 2: Double click on "Installer_AGISTK12.5.bat" inside the STK_v12.5.0 folder copied to your machine
Step 3: Click "yes" or "run" if a security warning pops up
Step 4: Wait for installation to complete
Once the script is finished (could take several minutes) the command line window will close.
Step 5: Confirm the software has been installed and functions correctly
Locate the software by searching "STK 12" in Windows search. Open the application and go through the New User Setup. Once complete the software should eventually open to the welcome window.
Custom Install
Step 1: Download Installer
The STK v12.5 installation folder is located at \\eas-data.uccs.edu\Public\Software\ALL\AnalyticalGraphicsSTK. This location can opened while connected to the UCCS VPN.
Use the Windows File Explorer and navigate to the network location mentioned above. Copy the entire STK_v12.5.0 folder to a location on your local PC.
Step 2: Double click on "install.exe" inside the STK_v12.5.0 folder copied to your machine
Step 3: Click "yes" or "run" if a security warning pops up
Step 4: Select the modules you'd like installed and choose "install"
Please be sure not to check the "License Server" box during installation. This will stop the STK 12 application install used for your class work.
Step 5: Walk through the installer
Click Next
Accept the license and click Next
Click Next
Click Finish
Step 6: Configure the license server
In Windows search type "ansys licensing client settings" and open the application.
Configure the license server with the following information.
Port: 1055
Server 1: lm-instruction.uccs.edu
Step 7: Verify License File
Click "test" and you should see a green check mark if all the information is correct.
Step 8: Confirm the software has been installed and functions correctly
Locate the software by searching "STK 12" in Windows search. Open the application and go through the New User Setup. Once complete the software should eventually open to the welcome window.
