Why is support for Windows 7 ending at UCCS?
UCCS OIT supports all Microsoft operating systems that are still receiving active support from Microsoft. Once a Windows operating system reaches it's end of support, Microsoft will no longer release updates for that operating system. This can leave the system with security holes that can be exploited, hardware that is no longer getting driver updates to address issues, and software produced by other companies that is no longer receiving feature, performance, or security updates.
How Do I Upgrade to Windows 10?
The OIT Help Desk can assist with upgrading Windows 7 machines to Windows 10. Please contact the OIT Help Desk to start the process. Some upgrades can be completed without needing to bring the computer to the Help Desk.
