Scope

This is a projector-based classroom controlled by a Crestron touch panel.

Controlling the A/V System

Using the Touch Panel

The touch panel controls all AV functionality in the space.


Turning the system on and off

The AV system will power on when pressing the power button on the button panel. The power button is located on the bottom right-hand side of the button panel. This will turn on the TV display.

To turn the AV system off, press the power button on the button panel once more.

Volume Control

Volume can be controlled using the volume buttons at the bottom of the button panel. The raise and lower buttons are on either side of the volume bar and the mute button is located in the lower left corner.


Inputs

Using the Podium PC and Lectern

The computer placed on the podium is the primary source for this AV system.  This computer runs the same image as all other podium computers in general fund classrooms and labs.  You can sign in with your UCCS credentials.

Using HDMI Cable


The HDMI cable allows for laptops and other devices to be connected to the wall mounted display in the room.

To connect to the HDMI cable:

  1. Select the HDMI source on the touch panel
  2. Connect the HDMI cable to your laptop or other personal device
  3. Your personal device should now be seen on the display.



Troubleshooting & Checklist

Audio Issues

All audio in this room is routed through the wall-mounted display. 

  1. Make sure the audio is turned up on the control panel and unmuted.
  2. Make sure the source is playing audio, has its volume turned up, and is unmuted.
  3. Test the other source with a different device and media to determine the cause of the audio issue.

Video Issues

  1. Make sure the display is turned on.
  2. Make sure the desired source is selected and a device is connected to that input.
  3. Make sure the device is set to mirror its display.
  4. Test the other source with a different device to determine the cause of the video issue.
