For security reasons you should attempt to setup your wireless connection using system certificate checks. This should be possible on newer Android versions. If you cannot connect with these settings, you can try connecting without validating certificates, but this is not recommended.

There are many different versions of Android OS available. While the setup instructions below are similar for all devices, the exact wording or menu locations may vary slightly device to device, and version to version.

Step 1: Go to your Wireless Settings

On your Android device go to the Settings menu (usually a gear icon) to find and select Connections. Then, select Wi-Fi.



Step 2: Select UCCS-Wireless

Select the UCCS-Wireless network. 

Step 3: Enter Wireless Configuration

EAP method – Select PEAP

CA certificate Select Use System Certificates

Domain – Type in: uccs.edu

MAC -Select Randomized Mac

Identity – Enter in your UCCS username.

Password – Enter your UCCS password.



Select Advanced:


Phase 2 Authentication - MSCHAPV2

Anonymous Identity – Leave Blank

IP Settings - Select DHCP

Proxy - Select None

Then select Connect at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4: Verify Connection

Make sure that the word “Connected” is visible underneath UCCS-Wireless.

Step 1: Go to your Wireless Settings

On your Android device go to the Settings to find and select Network & Internet. Then, select Wi-Fi.


Step 2: Select UCCS-Wireless

Select the UCCS-Wireless network.

Step 3: Enter Wireless Configuration

EAP method – Select PEAP

Phase 2 authentication – Select MSCHAPV2

CA certificate – Select Do not validate

Identity – Enter in your UCCS username.

Anonymous Identity – Leave blank.

Password – Enter your UCCS password.

Then select Connect.

Step 4: Verify Connection

Make sure that the word “Connected” is visible underneath UCCS-Wireless.


Your device should now be connected to UCCS-Wireless.

titlePrivate MAC Addresses

Problem:  Some devices may encounter a problem connecting to the any UCCS's wireless networks (UCCS-Wireless, UCCS-Guest or eduroam) with Private Addresses turned on.

Solution: Many devices have updated their OS to include an option to randomize the MAC address of the device.  You must turn off the option in settings to connect to the network.
