In 2023, system offices conducted an IT Asset Management audit and recommended UCCS start tracking all assets related to computing, even if not exceeding the $5,000 capital asset threshold. UCCS OIT adopted SnipeIT, an open source asset management platform, in response to the audit. The following guides have been established as acceptable processes for departments to utilize SnipeIT to track university-owned assets.
