If you receive an email that is claiming to be someone they are not, or if it is just junk email, you can report the message to Outlook so those messages are filtered in the future. 

UCCS Phishing

If the email is claiming to be a UCCS student/employee, please send a copy of the email file to the OIT Service Desk using the following instructions: Sending a Message as an Attachment (Spam, Phishing, or for Verification) 

Please follow the instructions below to report the message.

Step 1: Open the Message

Step 2: Click the Button in the top right

Step 3: Click "Report Message"


Step 4: Choose "Phishing" or "Junk"

Phishing is when an email is attempting to obtain your personal information, such as credit card info, ID number, username, passwords, etc.

Junk is any other message that you do not want to receive (advertising, spam, etc.)

Step 5: Confirm your Report


Step 1: Open the Message

Step 2: Click the Icon or the "Report" button


Step 3: Choose "Phishing" or "Junk"
