Note

Joining the eduroam wireless network requires you to meet either one of the two conditions below...

  • You have UCCS Credentials (username including @uccs.edu and your password)
    .... or ....
  • You have an account through your home institution, which is a participating institution with eduroam.

If neither of the above apply to you, please visit the UCCS-Guest information page for information regarding guest wireless access.

Step 1: Open Network Settings

Click the network icon in the task bar, typically located in the lower right side of the screen. Then go to network settings by clicking on the gear icon at the top of the card.


Step 2: Select the Eduroam Network

Click on Wi-Fi to show all available networks. Select the eduroam network from the list.


Step 3: Choose Settings and Enter Your Username and Password

Make sure the settings match the ones listed below. Enter your UCCS username and password, then click Connect.

SSID: eduroam

EAP method: PEAP

EAP Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2

Server CA certificate: Default

Subject match: <leave this blank>

Subject alternative name match: <leave this blank>

Domain suffix match: uccs.edu

Identity: Your UCCS username (you do need to include "@uccs.edu" on the end of your username)

Password: Your UCCS password

Anonymous Identity: <leave blank>


Step 4: Verify Connection

Check to see if your device is connected by clicking the network icon located in the bottom right of the screen. The device should show that it's connected to eduroam and display the signal strength of the network.

Your device should now be connected to eduroam.
