Sending a Message as an Attachment (Spam, Phishing, or for Verification)
If you received an email message to your UCCS email account that you suspect is:- Spam
- Phishing
- Or are unsure if it is a legitimate UCCS email
You can attach the message as an attachment and send it to UCCS OIT at [email protected] for further review.
- In certain cases, OIT may also request an attached copy of an email for troubleshooting purposes not related to the above

Step 1: Find the Message to Attach
- In this example, it is the first email listed
Step 2: Click New Message
- The compose new message editor will open to the right. Note the message to attach is still to the left.
Step 3: Click and Drag the Message to Attach over the New Message
- Let go of the mouse cursor once you are over the new message and the message will be attached
Step 4: Send the message to [email protected]
- The message is now attached
- Please include any other relevant information ("Suspected Spam/Phishing", "Is this a real UCCS email?", etc.)
- Press Send
