Using the System
Turning the system on and off
There are two touch panels in this room, one by the wall mounted PC and the other by the hanging displays. Each system is controlled independently from each other using these displays.
The AV system will power on when pressing the start page on the touch panel.
To turn the AV system off, press the red Power Off button in the upper right corner. You will have 10 seconds to cancel the power off, then the system will shut down.
Source Selection
On the exercise side of the room, each display can have an input selected independent of the other display. To change inputs, select the input you would like to send to the displays listed. You may choose between Wall Input, AirMedia, or any of the four Floor Inputs.
The classroom side of the room operates more like a standard classroom. To change inputs, select the input you would like to present on the projector. You may choose between PC, AirMedia, or Wall Plate.
Volume Control
Volume can be controlled only on the classroom touch panel and can be changed using the volume buttons at the bottom of any page on the touch panel. The raise and lower buttons are on either side of the volume bar and the mute button is located in the lower left corner.
Display and Projector Controls
The displays and projector will automatically power on and off with the system. The source selected on the touch panel will be routed to the displays.
Using the Wall PC
The computer mounted on the wall is the primary source for the classroom AV system. This computer runs the same image as all other podium computers in general fund classrooms and labs. You can sign in with your UCCS credentials.
The keyboard and mouse are located in a fold-out tray under the computer. To open the tray, enter the combination 1-1-1-1-1.
The wall mount is height adjustable. To raise or lower the mount, gently raise or lower it with your hand.
Using the AirMedia
The AirMedia allows for wireless presentation of any device connected to the UCCS-Wireless network.
To connect to the AirMedia:
- Select the AirMedia source on the touch panel
- Open a web browser and enter the address listed on the touch panel or in the lower right corner of the screen
- Follow the instructions on the webpage to download the app to your device
- Enter the IP address and code to connect your device and start presenting
Using the Wall Input
There is a wall HDMI input on the wall below the touch panel on the exercise side of the room. This input can be routed to either the projectors, the hanging displays, or both but must be done so using the corresponding touch panel.
Using the Floor Inputs
There are four floor inputs located on the exercise side of the room. Each of these floor boxes contains an HDMI input, power, and data ports. These inputs can be routed to the hanging displays using the touch panel on the wall below the displays.
Screen Controls
The screen controls are located next to the classroom touch panel.
